Full-time Research Assistant

at confidential in Dubai

Functional Responsibilities
1. Plan research projects, including one’s own role within them.
2. Manage funding for the project from external and internal sources if applicable
3. Lead pilot projects/feasibility studies if required.
4. Undertake research, either laboratory or office-based or in the field.
5. Systematically Record findings and report on them
6. Present findings to peers at events or in published articles
7. Keep records and accounts of the management of the project
8. Research and collects data through complex techniques and procedures, library
9. research, structured interviews or other project specific methodology.
10. Interprets, synthesizes and analyzes data.
11. Schedules, organizes and reports on status of research activities.
12. Plans and modifies research techniques, procedures, tests, equipment or software
13. management.
14. Writes and edits materials for publication and presentation.
15. Meets with company’s manager on regular basis to maintain ongoing communication
16. regarding the quality of the assistant’s performance.
17. Manage and respond to project related email from multi roles perspective
18. Prepare, maintain, and update materials.
19. Manages and replies to project-related correspondence.
20. Assists in administrative duties such as completing reports.
21. Performs other related duties as required.
22. Research in the academic fields, business fields, media fields, etc.
23. Manage research teams and groups

Required skills and competencies
1. Complete the tasks on time
2. Ability to research according to the guidelines of the company and produce results within a time frame.
3. basic knowledge of accounting and management
4. Should be a team player and work with the team to get the desired results.
5. Do research study, a research assistant must collect materials related to the study.
6. Excellent English (reading, writing and conversing) – ideal communication, verbal and written.
7. Computer savvy – proficient especially in Excel, PowerPoint and Word, experienced in digital data input.
8. Highly critical thinker with effective researching skills proven through work experience in [Research assistant, resource developer, conflict resolution, project management, etc.]
9. Knowledge of statistical analytics tools such as SPSS and language/text analysis
10. Fast reader and natural liking of reading
11. Additional languages are preferred

Education and qualifications:

BA or MA degree in Social Sciences.
Business background
Professional qualifications/certifications
Specialized training in the field of research
Must have samples of previous research and research management work, even from study time
