Full-time Senior Manager, Payroll Dept

at Transguard Group in Dubai

Transguard Payroll Department is the central resource for everything connected with the salaries of employees for the Group. This is a very busy Department within Transguard Group running over 100 payrolls per months for over 18,000 employees both internally and externally.

To qualify for this role, the candidate must possess the following:

  • 5-10 years of Western work experience in a Managerial role.
  • Proven track record of experience in a field related to Customer Service, Administration and or Human Resources. Payroll experience is an advantage.
  • Must have supervised large teams.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills is essential.
  • 5 years of experience working in an ERP environment would be an advantage, preferably SAP or Oracle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills English. Arabic is a plus.
  • Diploma from a Western institution is essential.

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Overall Management of The Payroll and Time and Attendance Team to include staff recruitment, training and performance management.
  • Setting and driving standards across the department to manage the efficient operation of the organisation’s payrolls, delivering effective day to day management of the Payroll managers and supervisors and ensure all financial obligations to statutory and non-statutory bodies are met.
  • Review and approve all payrolls as per company policies and procedures.
  • Resolve any potential issues that occur, including late receipt of time and attendance reports which may result in the payrolls being processed and paid late.
  • To develop and implement strategies for the continuous improvement of the payroll service including review of payroll processes and procedures and recommending best practice principles to the Senior Management Team.
  • Management of Team Objectives and Key Performance Indicators
  • Communicate actively with Operations, HR and Finance to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing.
  • Supervision of all the money transfers to employees accounts, including communications with C3 Salary Cards and all relevant Bank.
  • Auditing of payroll data on a regular basis including Balance sheet accounts which will include reporting of write offs and reasons for write off.
  • Auditing of Payroll and Time and Attendance data to ensure that all data held on the departments system are accurate and up to date.
